Last weekend was the Screen Actors Guild Awards. I’m not going to lie. I watched mainly to see the fashion and to be inspired. Anyone else watch just to see what everyone wore? I truly wasn’t disappointed that everyone dressed to impress. These are my top picks and some trends I noticed for spring.
Silver Metallic
Something we saw all over the SAG Awards was beautiful silver metallic dresses and makeup. I noticed all the celebrities were rocking silver jewellery. I think we will be seeing a trend of more silver accessories and handbags this spring – gold is so winter/fall anyways (kidding, currently wearing a gold necklace).
Crystal Embellishment
Crystal embellishments add that dressed up glamour to any look. Embellishment on a simple black dress gives it that extra edge and va va voom. The same goes with an embellished bag; it adds that extra sparkle and dressy element.
Bright Pastels
Pastels for spring? Groundbreaking. In all seriousness, these bright pastel colours attract the eye. Can you imagine Vanessa Hudgens dress colour as a bag? We can! We have a Chanel WOC in that beautiful teal colour.
Round Bags?
I personally am all for unique shaped small purses that are mainly for decor. Embellished or not they add a little flare to the entire outfit.
Pink
These pink gowns needed their own minute. Pink will never go out of style – and pink bags especially. They add the perfect pop of colour to any look or even a full monochromatic pink look.
